Big Bend Bus Trip - November 2007

The Dallas Sierra Club has organized a bus trip to Big Bend National Park over the Thanksgiving Holiday every year for about 30 years. 

This year I led trip 2.  We started at The Chimneys trailhead.  We hiked to The Chimneys and then hiked cross country to our first camp near Red Ass Spring.  The next day we hiked over to Tule Spring where we camped for two nights.  The next day (Saturday) was scheduled to be a dayhike day but we cut it short due to cold rain and wind.  Due to the bad weather, there aren't very many pictures from Saturday.  On Sunday, the weather was much better as we finished the trip by hiking over to the Burro Mesa Pouroff Overlook parking lot.
