The 25th annual Texas Wilderness Pow Wow, a weekend of nature walks, camping, and music, was held April 16-18 at Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest. The Pow Wow featured walks into Big Slough Wilderness Area, a program by oral historian Thad Sitton highlighting the history of the Neches River and surrounding forest, and campfire with singer / songwriter Bill Oliver. The Pow Wow is sponsored by the Texas Committee on Natural Resources and other environmental and outdoor groups in Texas. TEXAS

organization committed to protecting native ecosystems and promoting
efficient use of natural resources in Texas. TCONR members contribute
